French club Lille are the latest club to register an interest in Inter defender Yuto Nagatomo as the 28-year-old enters the final season of his contract with the Nerazzurri.

The Japanese defender has seen his first team opportunities limited since the return of Roberto Mancini as Inter coach with the former Cesena player featuring in only nine league games since the Italian returned to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in November last year.

According to reports in France, Lille are now pursuing the defender’s signature with Nagatomo also attracting interest from a number of clubs across Europe including Sampdoria, West Bromwich Albion and Bundesliga giants Schalke.

Nagatomo joined Inter in January 2011 under former coach Leonardo initially on a six month loan deal from Cesena before making his move to the Nerazzurri permanent later that year.
