Kovacic - Inter v LazioInter are reportedly keen to add a player into any transfer deal with Liverpool for Mateo Kovacic.

The Nerazzurri have held discussions over a move involving the 21-year-old with Inter looking for a fee close to €25 million, though the Premier League side are thought to be unwilling to pay more than €20 for the youngster.

However, according to Tuttosport, Inter could look for one of Lucas Leiva, Martin Skrtel or Fabio Borini to be added to the deal.

Liverpool are thought to be keen to offload Borini, having just signed Danny Ings from Burnley, while Skrtel is reportedly unhappy with a recent contract offer from the club, branding it ‘unacceptable’.

Kovacic made 35 Serie A appearances for Inter last season, scoring five goals and creating another three.

That would be just typical of Inter wouldn’t it?! Sell a hugely promising youngster (cough Coutinho), and then replace him with an expensive ‘has-been’ who is past their best and little to no sell on value.

Had they shown more patience with their younger players, then they wouldn’t be in the mess that they now find themselves in.
