Roberto Mancini would like to sign Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic to bolster his forward options.
The Montenegrin international has failed to impress during his time in Manchester and could be willing to return to Italy if the conditions are right for a transfer.
According to Sportmediaset, Mancini is set on adding Jovetic to his squad though any deal could hinge on the future of current Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.
Should the Chilean stay on at City then Jovetic would be more willing to leave England, as his first team chances have been limited under Pellegrini.
But if City appoint a new coach then Jovetic may decide to stay and fight for his place in the starting line-up.
The striker has already played in Italy, spending five years at Fiorentina.
