Juventus’ Giuseppe Marotta stated that Carlos Tevez will only leave the Bianconeri if it is to return to Argentina.

Tevez has been heavily linked with a  move away all summer, and recently come out with a statement — through his agent — expressing his wishes to return to Boca Juniors.

Marotta has come out clearly stated that if Tevez were to officially leave, Juventus would only sanction a Juventus departure to Boca Juniors.

“A footballer is above all a man and we [Juventus] must respect the human aspect [in this situation],” Marotta said in Ole.

“Tevez has expressed his intention to return to Argentina; we are still awaiting official word but we do not wish to be counter-productive that would create friction between the two clubs.

“If Tevez were to stay, we would be happy; if you were to leave, then we will always have great respect for everything you have done.

“The will of the player will be crucial and decisive. We have opened the door for Tevez to return home, but not to anywhere in Europe; If Tevez were to leave, it will only be for Argentina.”
