Granit Xhaka and Jordy Clasie are two names that Lazio have prioritised signing, should Lucas Biglia depart the Stadio Olimpico.
The 29-year-old was a key player in the Biancocelesti’s charge to Champions League qualification in 2014/15 but has been linked with a move to a bigger club, forcing Lazio to draw up a list of replacements for the Argentine.
Il Messaggero report that Feyernoord midfielder Clasie and Swiss international Xhaka are the preferred candidates to join the Aquile, although the asking price for both of these young midfielders is believed to be rather high.
Mainz’s Johannes Geis is another option for Stefano Pioli, although the German youth international is the slightly younger and less proven option at 21, while a move for Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff is reported to have been ruled out despite the 28-year-old being out of contract with the Ligue 1 outfit.
