Former striker believes his old club will soon return to winning ways.

The finished in eighth place in at the end of last season but Milito believes that they will return to be a powerhouse in and win titles soon enough.

“It takes time, but I am convinced they will return to the top, because they are a club that has always been at the top,” Milito told Sportmediaset.

Milito, who currently plays in his home country of Argentina, also expects fellow Argentine to become one of the world’s top players.

“He has all the characteristics to be a top player in the future.

“Mauro has done very well this year and he will continue to do so.”

Icardi has scored 22 goals for Inter, finishing as joint winner — with Hellas Verona’s Luca Toni — of the Capocannoniere race.
