Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has thanked the club for giving him the opportunity to represent Spain ahead of Sunday’s EURO 2016 qualifier against Belarus.

The former Real Madrid forward joined the Old Lady last summer in order to secure regular first-team football and was instrumental in helping them reach the Champions League final.

“For me, the greatest pride is to play for the national team and represent my country, ” the 22-year-old said during a pre-match press conference.

“I want to give everything to Spain and work hard to continue maintaining Vicente Del Bosque’s confidence in me.

“I’ll give my best every time the coach gives me the honour of wearing this jersey.

“My main objective and what excites me most is to play with Juventus at a high level in order to keep my place in the national team.”

Morata made his senior debut as Spain beat Belarus 3-0 in Huelva in their first Group C meeting back on November 15.
