Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol has denied meddling in footballing affairs since agreeing to buy a minority share in AC Milan.

Mr Bee is set to own a 48 per cent stake over the next eight weeks and it was reported that he has vetoed the club’s move to appoint Sinisa Mihajlovic as coach.

“I keep reading Italian journalist’s stories that are clearly not true,” Mr Bee said in a press release.

“I deny that I expressed any opinion on the running of the club; the technical and sporting decisions are solely the remit of president [Silvio] Berlusconi and his team.”

The 39-year-old also made clear that Dubai-based banker Pablo Dana does not speak for him, after the Italian gave interviews to La Repubblica and La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Mr. Pablo Dana does not represent me and has no right to speak on my behalf,” said Mr Bee.

“I would like to reiterate that, as written in the joint statement with Fininvest, Milan remains under the control of president Silvio Berlusconi, who is not only the leader of Milan but of me also.

“The operation that we together want to see succeed is the Milan brand and, thanks to my involvement, we can establish it even more in the Asian market.

“In this eight-week period of exclusivity, I will not be giving any interviews. This is the time of work and not words.”
