Yuto Nagatomo is heading for the Inter exit door in the summer, with Schalke leading the chase for the diminutive fullback.
The 28-year-old Japanese international has failed to convince boss Roberto Mancini of his place in the team, and has been made available for transfer in the summer.
Gazzetta TV report that Sampdoria, West Bromwich Albion and Schalke have all been monitoring Nagatomo’s situation at the club and are keen on signing him.
The Bundesliga club however are the only ones to have sounded out the Nerazzurri about doing a deal, and want to close it as soon as possible to beat out the other competitors.
Nagatomo only made 16 appearances across all competitions this season.
