Vrsaljko - SassuoloSassuolo have told Serie A rivals Napoli that they will need to make an offer of at least €12 million if they want to sign their attacking defender Sime Vrsaljko.

The Partenopei have made the full back area a top priority and have already enquired into the availability of Torino player Matteo Darmian as they look to construct a competitive squad under new boss Maurizio Sarri.

Sky Sport Italia have reported that Napoli’s new sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli recently met with Vrsaljko’s agent to try and thrash out some kind of deal that would allow the ex-Genoa man to join the Naples-based outfit.

The 23-year-old Croatian international had an inspired first season with Sassuolo, featuring 20 times for the side from the Mapei Stadium and showing signs that he is ready for the step up to a big club.
