Torino have signed former Sampdoria man Afriyie Acquah from German Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim, who officially owned his registration.

Acquah has been on loan in Serie A since 2013, firstly with Parma and then Samp, while failing to make a single appearance with the German club.

“Torino Football Club are delighted to announce that it has acquired outright the sporting benefits of the player Afriyie Acquah on a permanent basis,” read a statement on the club’s official website.

“The Ghanaian midfielder has signed a contract with the club until 2019.”

The 23-year-old appeared on 24 occasions in the Italian top flight last term, with 14 of those coming during the first half of the campaign in the colours of beleaguered Parma, before he was moved on to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris due to the Crociati’s financial troubles.
