Fiorentina veteran David Pizarro is still hopeful of extending his stay at the club, despite his contract about to run out in less than a month.

The 35-year-old Chilean international has defied his years to once again perform solidly for the Viola this season, but is yet to reach an agreement with the club about extending his current deal.

“My adventure at the Viola ends here because my contract runs out in June,” Pizarro told Sky Sport Italia after the 3-0 victory over Chievo Verona.

“Everyone knows my thoughts, I want to continue with Fiorentina. We will see what happens in the future.”

Pizarro has made 36 appearances this season across all competitions for Fiorentina.
