Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo has revealed that Antonio Di Natale will be playing in Udine next season unless he decides to retire this summer.

The 74-year-old has pointed out that the veteran striker is still tied to the Zebrette until June 2016, though some rumours have claimed that the former Empoli man could be making his way to the MLS in the coming months.

Pozzo spoke to Sky Sport Italia about Di Natale’s current situation at Udinese and insisted that the star forward is likely to postpone his retirement at least for one more season.

“The facts say that Di Natale is tied to Udinese for another year,” said the Bianconeri owner.

“Personally, I’ve never said that he would stop playing. If he decides to stop then that’s a choice that I have no say in, but I think that he can play longer, not just one more season but at least two.

“If he decides to continue playing football this summer, then it will be in Udine because he has a contract with us for another year.”
