Lazio central midfielder Lucas Biglia is the subject of a concrete offer for his services from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The 29-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign with the Aquile, as they secured third spot in the Serie A standings and also reached the Coppa Italia final, and has since reproduced that form in helping Argentina to the Copa America semi-finals where they face Paraguay.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Real have submitted an offer of €22 million for the deep-lying playmaker in a bid to tempt Lazio president Claudio Lotito into the sale of his star man.
Former Napoli coach Rafa Benitez earmarked Biglia for a transfer to Madrid having witnessed his talent at close quarters last season, as the Azzurri were beaten by the Biancocelesti at the semi-final stage of the Coppa Italia and additionally missed out on a Champions League qualification spot in a final day clash against their Roman rivals.
The ex-Anderlecht schemer made 31 appearances in all competitions for his club last term, while hitting four goals and making three assists.
