Roma have reportedly entered the race to sign Sampdoria star striker Eder.

The Italy international has attracted firm interest from the Giallorossi’s Serie A rivals AC Milan and Inter in recent weeks, but now it appears as though Rudi Garcia’s side are preparing an approach of their own.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is ready to set aside a figure of €10 million plus youngster Daniele Verde in order to convince the Blucerchiati to sell one of their most important players.

However, reports suggest that Sampdoria would much rather receive the full ownership of loanee Alessio Romagoli, rather than the unpolished talent of Verde.

Recently, Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero placed a €15m valuation on the head of the Brazilian-born forward, so whether Roma’s current offer is deemed acceptable remains to be seen.

28-year-old Eder has scored 28 Serie A goals for Sampdoria, since his move in 2012.
