The Ivorian looks set to depart the Stadio Olimpico after two seasons for Abu Dhabi side Al Jazira for a fee of around €14 million.
According to the Daily Mail, Roma have already offered €13m for Nani as they look to reinforce for the upcoming season. However, one sticking point is the player’s wages as he earns €8m a season.
At present Roma’s highest earner is Daniele De Rossi, who takes home €6m per year.
Nani spent last season on loan at Sporting Lisbon, where he made 27 appearances in the Primeira Liga, scoring seven goals.
