Miralem Pjanic has praised Barcelona coach Luis Enrique for his work during his time at Roma.

Enrique spent the 2011/12 season at Roma leaving the club as the side failed to qualify for Europe but Pjanic, who was brought in by Enrique, believes he improved as a player under the Spaniard.

“I have wonderful memories of working under Enrique,” Pjanic told Roma TV.

“He helped me grow during that season and made me a much better footballer.

“His way of playing football was very engaging and easy to understand.

“I am disappointed that things did not work out and when he told the players he was leaving, we were all upset.

“The problem with Zdenek Zeman as a coach was he had poor communications skills.

“I am happy here at Roma and I know I made the right choice in moving to Italy.

“I hope I can wear this shirt for years to come and win trophies here.

“I have a very good relationship with Garcia.

“I knew him for my time in France when he won the championship with Lille. He is a winner.”
