Roma and Monaco have come to an agreement over the transfer of Mattia Destro, and now just need the player’s approval to complete the operation.
The 24-year-old Italian international has been negotiating with the French giants for a couple of weeks now, but it was believed that a potential deal had broken down over the weekend.
Sky Sport Italia reveal that the deal has been given the green-light once again, after the two sides agreed on an undisclosed fee for the talented forward overnight.
Now Monaco are just waiting on the OK from Destro – currently on his honeymoon – but who still isn’t fully convinced by the project at Ligue 1 giants.
Destro is reported to be holding out for a move to Fiorentina, but the Viola have yet to make a serious offer for the ex-Inter striker.
The player spent the previous six months on loan at AC Milan, but failed to convince the Rossoneri to make the transfer permanent.
