Ferrero+Eto'o+Muriel SampdoriaFollowing Samuel Eto’o’s departure from Sampdoria, club president Massimo Ferrero promised to make a movie of the player’s life, with Morgan Freeman in the title role.

Eto’o is set to join Turkish side Antalyaspor after just five months with Doria but his impact at the club has not gone unnoticed by Ferrero.

“Goodbye to a great man,” Ferrero wrote on Twitter. “We indulged your will: Between gentlemen of football it is not difficult to understand. A handshake is enough.”

Upon the Cameroonian’s arrival in Genoa, Ferrero, a movie producer, agreed that he would make a biopic of Eto’o’s life and would have Freeman playing the 34-year-old.

Whether or not this promise is kept remains to be seen.

Eto’o made 18 Serie A appearances for Samp last season, scoring twice and assisting another three.
