Basel’s Paulo Sousa and Torino coach Giampiero Ventura are the frontrunners to takeover from Vincenzo Montella at Fiorentina.
Following a few weeks of uncertainty, La Viola parted company with Montella after the club claimed the relationship had broken down with the tactician.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Sousa and Ventura are the main candidates for the Fiorentina coaching role, with the Portuguese due in Florence on Tuesday to meet with the Viola hierarchy.
Sousa won the Swiss Super League with Basel this season, and is one year into a three-season deal. He has also been linked with coaching positions at Napoli and Sampdoria in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, Ventura recently stated that he would be on the Torino bench next season.
