Stuttgart submit €4 million offer for Empoli fullback
The 24-year-old Portuguese youth international was a revelation for Empoli this past season as they safely secured their top-flight status for at least another year.
Rui spent his youth football on the books of Benfica and Valencia before making the move to Parma in 2011, where he was then shifted onto Empoli two years ago.
According to Sport Italia, German Bundesliga side Stuttgart, who just survived getting relegated on the final day, have made an official offer to entice Rui to the club.
The offer is reported to be worth €4 million plus unspecified bonuses, in which the Serie A club is currently weighing up.
Rui made 34 appearances for Empoli this season.
