Sporting director Igli Tare is adamant that Lazio will be able to compete in the Champions League next season alongside rivals Roma and Juventus.
The Biancocelesti may not be granted a UEFA license necessary to be able to compete in Europe’s top cup competition, due to investigations concerning captain Stefano Mauri and match fixing but Tare is not concerned.
“We have nothing to fear about the UEFA license,” Tare told reports at an award ceremony in Calabria.
“I am confident that everything will be sorted and that we will play in the Champions League.
“Any team that comes up against us will have to worry, because they’ll be up against Lazio.
“The path that Lazio are following is different from that of other teams in Italian football.
“In that way we are unique in Serie A.”
