Matteo Darmian TorinoTorino will look for cash and up to three Napoli players for in-demand full-back Matteo Darmian as the Partenopei try to steal a march ahead of the rivals in their pursuit of the Italy defender.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs since the end of the season after enjoying a fruitful campaign with the Granata and can play either as a right or left full-back comfortably.

According to Sky Sport Italia, negotiations between the two clubs have progressed rapidly in the last couple of days, with Toro president Urbano Cairo initially looking for a straight cash deal at €20 million, but has since changed his stance.

It’s now thought the Granata want a deal worth up to €25m for the defender, which could include €10m plus Partenopei midfielder Jorginho and striker Duvan Zapata heading to Turin.

Meanwhile midfielder Omar El Kaddouri, who was on loan with Torino last season, could also be included in the negotiations, despite his initial refusal to return to Giampiero Ventura’s side.

If the former Brescia midfielder refuses to return to Turin, Toro will reduce the asking price to €6m plus Azzurri midfielder Jorginho and Colombian forward Zapata.
