Udinese’s redevelopment of the Stadio Friuli is on schedule for completion for the beginning of the 2015-16 Serie A season.

Renovations of the stadium began in 2013 to bring the Northern and Southern stands closer to the playing action and reducing the capacity from 40,000 to 30,000.

According to the club’s official website, contractors are working tirelessly to finish the Stadio Friuli by the end of July.

Refurbishments on the Northern and Southern stands have nearly been completed with only the diamond-shaped roof yet to be installed.

The construction cost of revamping the venue is rumoured to be approximately €22.6 million.
