Andrea Bertolacci ItalyAC Milan full back Cristian Zaccardo is delighted with his club’s signing of midfielder Andrea Bertolacci, who he considers to be more than ready to play for one of Serie A’s bigger teams.

The former Lecce star had been co-owned by Roma and Genoa, but has now moved to the Rossoneri for a reported €20 million after momentarily returning to the Giallorossi who bought the Grifone’s half of the contract for around €8.5 million, at the end of last season.

“I’ve always said to my team mates that Bertolacci is a great player,” Zaccardo told La Gazzetta Dello Sport. “He is ready for a top side. He can create play, is an excellent passer and scores goals.

“Not only is he good in attack but he also helps out when trying to win back possession. I’ve seen him pressure opponents and he has amazing stamina. And then he has that incredible left foot.”

The 24-year-old had a super campaign with the Rossoblu last season, propelling him into Antonio Conte’s Italian national team set-up.
