AC Milan are set to sign the older brother of Jose Mauri as part of negotiations by the agent that brought him to the club.

Juan Mauri is also expected to arrive at Milanello after Dino Zampacorta included the stipulation when Jose signed as a free agent on Monday following his release from Parma.

Zampacorta told TuttoMercatoWeb that the 26-year-old has a clause in his contract at Argentine third division side Tiro Federal that allows him to leave if a European club wants to secure his signature.

Meanwhile, Juan Mauri admits that he is unlikely to ever feature for Milan and will be immediately loaned out by the club.

“I will go to Italy this weekend to sign with Milan,” he is quoted to have said by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“But I will definitely be loaned out, either in Serie B or somewhere else.

“I would like to have been given all of this for my own merits and not because of my brother’s agent.

“Although the exposure will maybe help me return to Argentina and play in the top division.”
