Juventus have rejected a bid from English side Arsenal for defender Daniele Rugani.

Rugani has been linked with a move to the Gunners and a transfer looked possible after the Premier League side submitted a bid of €22 million for the young Italian despite Juventus announcing they had not interest in selling the player.

Sky Sport Italia report, however, that Juventus have turned down the offer from Arsene Wenger’s side for the 20-year-old.

Rugani has been a Juventus player outright since 2013 after an impressive first season with the Primavera side but spent the 2013/14 Serie A season out on loan at Empoli.

He scored once in 23 games for the Juventus youth squad but is yet to appear for the first team, although he appears to be in coach Massimiliano Allegri’s plans for the upcoming season after the Bianconeri rejected Arsenal’s bid.
