Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is reportedly on the verge of a move to Italian side Roma.

The Polish goalkeeper was dropped by manager Arsene Wenger in the second half of last season and now the club have signed Petr Cech from Chelsea, it appears that Szczesny does that have a future at the club.

According to Il Tempo, the Giallorossi have agreed personal terms with Szczesny and are now looking to agree a fee with the North London side.

Roma have moved for the Poland international after their potential deal for ex-Sampdoria keeper Sergio Romero fell through, with the Argentinian international now close to signing for Manchester United.

The Giallorossi have been looking for a new goalkeeper to replace the ageing 36 year-old Morgan de Sanctis all summer and have previously been linked with the likes of Petr Cech and Simone Scuffet.
