Fiorentina are expected to welcome Atletico Madrid midfielder Mario Suarez to the city to undergo his medical.
The 28-year-old has been highly sought after across the globe, but it looks like La Viola have made the Madrid giants the most appealing of offers.
According to Spanish publication AS, the two sides have come to an agreement, resulting in a deal that will see Stefan Savic go the other way.
Mario Suarez has spent his entire career in his home country, racking up over 200 appearances during his second stint with the Colchoneros.
His arrival in Florence will serve as compensation, as Savic nears a transfer to the Spanish capital, most likely filling the void left by Inter-bound defender Miranda.
La Viola are in need of midfield reinforcements having released Alberto Aquilani, David Pizarro and Andrea Lazzari.
