Mario Suarez has undergone a medical ahead of his move to Italian side Fiorentina.
The Atletico midfielder is on the verge of signing for Fiorentina while Stefan Savic is moving in the other direction.
“Forza Viola” Suarez chanted to Fiorentina fans who were waiting as he left a clinic in Milan where he underwent the medical.
A deal had been agreed between the two teams for both players, with Savic being removed from the Viola’s squad for their pre-season tour of the USA, where they are taking part in the International Champions Cup.
Savic is expected now to fly to Madrid to complete his medical in order for the deal to go through.
Spanish newspaper AS believes Fiorentina will receive €12 million plus Suarez for Savic.
