Barcelona coach Luis Enrique admitted that he was in no rush to welcome Juventus’ Paul Pogba to the treble-winning team.

Various Catalan media have reported that both clubs had come to a gentlemen’s agreement, which stipulated that Pogba would only join Barcelona in 2016.

The agreement would suit Luis Enrique just fine it seems, with the Blaugrana coach adamant that the Catalan giants today have no pressing need for the Juventus star.

Enrique would have been given the reins of the mercato, according to Mundo Deportivo. After already pushing for the signing of Atletico Madrid’s Arda Turan, Enrique would reportedly not consider Pogba’s arrival a pressing priority.

Cadena Cope themselves reported that Barcelona’s Josep Bartomeu confirmed that Luis Enrique was not keen on Pogba’s immediate arrival.

“Luis Enrique did not ask for Pogba,” Bartomeu said.

“I spoke with Arda approximately around the dates of the Champions League final to tell him Enrique wanted to sign him.

“Arda and Aleix Vidal are the two players who Luis Enrique asked for.”
