Bayern Munich have secured the signing of Chilean international Arturo Vidal for a fee of €37 million plus €3m in bonuses and Juventus are now expected to pursue the signature of Schalke 04’s Julian Draxler as a replacement.

Following the move of star man Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United and fitness concerns surround Franck Ribery, the Bavarians were looking for somebody to bolster the heart of their midfield.

According to The Guardian, Vidal is on his way to Bayern after the two clubs agreed on a fee of €37m plus €3m in bonuses.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man is set to make €6.5m annually with the Bavarian giants as part of a four-year contract after the player’s agent Fernando Felicevich travelled to Munich to finalise the deal.

Juventus are now ready to open negotiations for Schalke’s Draxler after Bayern coach Pep Guardiola and Mario Gotze both distanced themselves from rumours linking the former Borussia Dortmund man to Juve.

Vidal has been a pivotal part of the Old Lady’s recent success, he joined the team in 2011 for €10.5m from Bayer Leverkusen during Antonio Conte’s tenure.

The 28-year-old featured in 124 games for the Bianconeri, scoring 35 goals and providing 22 assists.

Vidal also won four consecutive Serie A titles and a Coppa Italia during his time in Turin.
