Bologna president Joey Saputo has admitted that he is considering whether Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli would be suited to the club.

The former AC Milan and Inter striker is exiled in the English Premier League with his current club exploring sale possibilities, and Bologna are among a variety of clubs potentially willing to take a gamble on the misfit.

“If his head and his motives, along with the selling price, were good, then why not?” questioned president Saputo to Resto Del Carlino.

“But I do not know him, so I cannot answer.”

Italy international Balotelli scored only one league goal for Liverpool last season, falling down the pecking order as good form escaped him.

Controversy continued to follow the former Manchester City man at Anfield, as he appeared to make a post on the social media site Instagram which allegedly contained anti-Semitic and racist references.
