Antonio Cassano is waiting for a call from former club Sampdoria in order to continue his playing career according to his agent.
Despite leaving the Blucerchiati in controversial circumstances back in 2010, the Bari native is still hoping to resume his career at the club where he had his most noted success.
“Cassano deeply regrets what happened five years ago, he has Sampdoria tattooed to his heart,” Bozzo told sampdorianews.net.
“His love for Sampdoria has stayed the same. He wants Sampdoria, he will wait for the club and has rejected a lot of money from abroad, from three concrete offers.”
“If the Blucerchiati were to sign him now they would have the best Cassano: he has changed as a person.
“He has been training hard in these months, pushed by the will to wear the Sampdoria shirt again. If it were to happen again it would be great, otherwise he will accept it.”
Cassano most recently played for Parma before having his contract terminated in January 2015 due to the Ducali’s financial difficulties.
