New Carpi signing Wallace has voiced his pleasure over his move to the club and is looking forward to the upcoming season.
The Serie A newcomers are trying to bring in a few reinforcements to the team and this week confirmed the signing of former Inter player Wallace from Chelsea on loan.
“I’m really happy, I think this time I will have the chance to play with continuity and can have a great season in Serie A with Carpi,” the young Brazilian told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“When I joined Inter I was too young, I have matured and learned many things in spite of difficulties.
“Carpi is a great club which has had an outstanding season and also has ambitious plans for the future. I hope for a great year and for Italy to finally know my qualities.”
Wallace was then asked whether a great season at Carpi would send a message to Chelsea manager [Jose] Mourinho.
“I want to be more important here in Carpi, I’m only focused on that and then we’ll see.”
