Wallace ChelseaSerie A new boys Carpi look close to securing the signing of Chelsea’s 21-year-old full-back Wallace.

The Biancorossi will make their debut in the top flight during the  2015-16 Serie A season and have busy this summer trying to strengthen ahead of a potentially difficult season and the temporarily Modena-based outfit have already added Juventus’s Luca Marrone and Fiorentina’s Ryder Matos to their ranks on loan.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the ex-Inter defender will join Carpi initially on loan but the Biancorossi will have an option to buy the Brazilian outright for €10 million if they wish, at the end of the loan.

Wallace spent the 2014-15 season on loan in the Eredivisie with Chelsea’s Dutch affiliate Vitesse Arnhem and made 22 appearances during his time there as Vitesse finished fifth.

The Brazilian also spent the 2013-14 season on loan at Inter but made only three substitute appearances during his brief sell with the Nerazzurri.
