The agent of Domenico Criscito has quashed rumours of a return to Genoa saying that the full-back is staying at Zenit Saint Petersburg.

Criscito has previously had three spells at the Grifone and started his career at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, making his debut at the age of 16, before moving to Juventus as part of a co-ownership deal, but will not return for a remarkable fourth time.

Speaking to PianetaGenoa1893.net, the full-back’s agent, Andrea D’Amico said: “Every year we talk about this story, Mimmo [Criscito] takes €3 million net at Zenit St. Petersburg which the Rossoblu would not be able to afford.”

Asked whether the 28-year-old would ever return to Genoa, D’Amico was less certain.

“Will he end his career in Liguria? For now Criscito has renewed his contract for another four years, we will see in due course.”

Criscito has won two league titles during his time at Zenit.
