Del Piero set for Juventus return

Legendary striker Alessandro Del Piero could be set for a return to Serie A champions Juventus in a capacity away from the pitch amid reports that his frosty relationship with president Andrea Agnelli has been repaired.

The fallout between the pair appeared to stem from the 40-year-old’s departure from the Bianconeri in the summer of 2012 to Sydney FC, despite the 2006 World Cup winner hoping to extend his stay in Turin.

However, Leggo report that after Del Piero visited the headquarters on Thursday the pair met for coffee to further discuss his return, and is evidence that relations have improved.

It is now expected that the veteran’s playing career is finally over – last appearing in the Indian Super League for Delhi Dynamos – as he embarks on a adventure behind the scenes in Turin.
