Fredy Guarin InterTurkish giants Fenerbahce have publicly stated that they have not made any attempts to sign Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin.

The versatile Colombian ace had been on the verge of leaving the Nerazzurri in January for Serie A rivals Juventus, and though negotiations fell through at the eleventh hour, rumours of a departure have not gone away.

“Any stories regarding the transfer of Fredy Guarin to our club are completely untrue,” stated a news item on the official Fenerbahce website.  “We are taking steps to ensure fans are aware of the situation and are not in any way misinformed.”

The announcement was made after stories in the press had linked the player with a move to the Super Lig outfit.

The ex-Porto star has been in Italy since 2012 and has made 92 appearances for Inter so far, scoring 14 goals.

The 29-year-old also has 55 international caps for his country, having mad his debut back in 2006.
