Fiorentina director Vincenzo Guerini has lashed out at Inter coach Roberto Mancini after the tactician made a joke about the recent events regarding the future of Chelsea midfielder Mohamed Salah.

The Nerazzurri boss quipped that he did not have enough credit on his phone to contact the Egyptian winger and Guerini has pinpointed this quote as an insulting attack upon the Viola.

“I really did not like the joke that Roberto Mancini made about the phone credit,” said Guerini to Italia7.

“It was unpleasant and offensive towards Fiorentina.

“I would not have expected this from a man of such experience.”

Guerini has also expressed his confusion after the player reportedly turned down a permanent move to the Stadio Artemi Franchi despite his successful six-month loan spell last year.

“After all of my years in football I am truly shocked at what is happening inside the head of this boy,” Guerini continued.

“Last season I saw a happy lad who liked to joke with everyone and had even said to his team-mates that he would like to remain for the forthcoming season.

“I  spoke to those who were close to him and even they said that he was extremely pleased with his time at Fiorentina and that he has been happy.”
