Fiorentina are reportedly discussing a deal that would see Stefan Savic move to Atletico Madrid in exchange for Mario Suarez.

La Viola are not intent on selling the Montenegrin centre-back unless they receive an offer of €15 million.

However, the Florence outfit are searching for a high-quality defensive midfielder so a swap with Atletico for the Spanish international would fill that need.

Speaking to Calcio News 24, agent Zarko Pelicic said: “As always, there are beautiful stories surrounding Stefan, but there is nothing concrete and Savic is focusing on Fiorentina.”

However, Marca reports that due to the deteriorating relationship between Mario Suarez and coach Diego Simeone, the club is likely approve a transfer to the Stadio Artemi Franchi.

Simeone sees Savic as the ideal replacement for Joao Miranda who joined Inter last month, while Suarez would fill the void left by David Pizarro in the Fiorentina midfield following his release.
