Mattia Destro - RomaRoma striker Mattia Destro and Napoli’s Juan Zuniga are interesting Fiorentina as the Viola look to their Serie A rivals for cut-price deals.

Destro spent the second half of last season at AC Milan and is not in Rudi Garcia’s plans at Roma while Zuniga have been linked with a move away from Napoli this summer with both Fiorentina and Sampdoria targeting the Colombian international.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Giallorossi striker Destro will lower his wage demands when negotiating with the Viola to seal a departure from the capital as Fiorentina look for more fire power upfront with the likely departure of German forward Mario Gomez to Besiktas.

Destro reportedly turned down a move to AS Monaco earlier this summer, after Roma had agreed to sell the forward to the French side.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina’s interest in Colombian full-back Zuniga is high and a deal for the 29-year-old would be of good value as injury and form have led to Napoli preferring Faouzi Ghoulam at left-back.

Sport Italia report the deal depends on Fiorentina matching Napoli’s valuation of the player.

New Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa made his first signing of his reign at the Stadio Artemio Franchi when Napoli goalkeeper Luigi Sepe joined on a season-long loan deal.

Deals for Botafago’s Gilberto and Swiss defender Taulant Xhaka are looking close, so there will be a fresh feel about the Tuscan side as the 2015/16 campaign begins.
