Fiorentina have rejected a bid from Zenit St Petersburg for centre-back Stefan Savic.

The Montenegrin international is rumoured to be the subject of interest from numerous clubs around Europe but Fiorentina are not willing to let him go cheaply.

According to Viola News, Zenit have been monitoring the tall defender for some time and have submitted a bid which the Viola consider to be much lower than their valuation of the player.

The Russian club, managed by Andre Villas-Boas, are rumoured to have offered a sum of €10 million to €15 million.

Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid are all reported to be interested in signing Savic.

The 24 year-old has been a regular first team player for Fiorentina since joining the Italian side from Manchester City in 2012.

He has made 86 appearances for the Viola, forming an effective partnership with Gonzalo Rodriguez in the heart of the Fiorentina defence.
