Fiorentina are ready to bolster their defensive numbers as they are keen to land Napoli fullback Juan Camilo Zuniga.
The Viola are currently short of numbers who can play at right-back following the end of Micah Richards’ loan spell with the club and the Colombia international has emerged as a serious option for Paulo Sousa’s side.
According to SportItalia, the two clubs have held preliminary discussions about the 29-year-old during recent talks that saw Partenopei goalkeeper Luigi Sepe join Fiorentina on loan for the coming season.
The former Siena man has endured a difficult past two seasons at the San Paolo as injuries have limited him to just 13 Serie A appearances.
In total the versatile Colombian has 162 Napoli games under his belt in all competitions over the course of his six seasons with the side.
