Inter are interested in bringing free agent and former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza ahead of the 2015-16 Serie A season.

Roberto Mancini, coach of the Nerazzurri, has been making a number of changes in a bid to turn around the fortunes of his current club and have them challenging for the Scudetto once more.

Reports emerging from Tuttomercatoweb suggest that the Ivorian will be played as a second striker to Mauro Icardi if he was to join.

The 37-year-old could prove to be the right solution to Inter’s attacking problems, bringing both experience, physicality and ability to the frontline.

Drogba responded to rumours of the Nerazzurri’s interest via FCInter1908 saying that he wasn’t aware they had been in touch but would be prepared to listen to any offers from them.

The forward also mentioned how he was in contact with an MLS club, as he is currently being chased by both Montreal Impact and Chicago Fire.

Drogba signed for Chelsea from Marseille in 2008 and spent eight years at Stamford Bridge until before stints with both Shanghai Shenhua and Galatasaray – finally returning to the blues in their title winning campaign last season.
