Former Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that, amidst interest from Barcelona, he would sell Paul Pogba.

Paul Pogba graduated from the Red Devils’ youth academy but left Old Trafford under a cloud of smoke.

After what the Frenchman had refused an offer for a contract renewal, Ferguson allowed Pogba to leave and join Juventus in 2012.

Despite the midfielder’s successes since departing from the English Premier League however, Ferguson remained adamant that Juventus should sell their star player.

“Juventus are a great team that won four Serie A titles and reached the final of the Champions League,” Ferguson said on Tuttosport.

“And yes, I would sell Pogba. Yes, it’s true that I lost him on a free transfer; but now, if I was in Juventus’ place, I would sell him.”

The 22-year-old made 40 appearances in all competitions for Juventus this season, scoring 10 goals and helping the Bianconeri to the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League final.
