Galatasaray have reportedly increased their offer to €8 million in an attempt to land unsettled Roma winger Gervinho.

Gervinho starred for Rudi Garcia’s Roma side in 2013/14 as the Giallorossi mounted a serious title challenge, but he struggled to impress last season and as a result has been linked with a move away from the capital club this summer.

Fotomac report that Galatasaray are very keen on the pacey forward and have increased their offer to €8m in an attempt to land the Ivorian international.

While the improved offer will no doubt catch the attention of the Lupi, it is believed Roma are still holding out for €12m.

Roma were close to offloading the 28-year-old to Al Jazira only to see the transfer fall through at the last minute, allegedly because of the player’s excessive wage demands.

The Ivorian managed to score only two league goals in 2014/15, in contrast to the nine he managed in his first Serie A campaign.
