Inter are close to selling Swiss midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri, allowing the Nerazzurri to buy Croatian winger Ivan Perisic from Wolfsburg.

Shaqiri arrived at Inter in January but the Nerazzurri are looking to move him on, despite him being there for only half a season.

According to Tuttosport, Inter are dealing with Schalke 04 regarding Shaqiri’s move but German club Hoffenheim and English club Everton are also keen on the Swiss international.

Shaqiri did not play in Inter’s friendly against German side Stuttgart Kickers, amidst reports that Roberto Mancini refused to play the former Basel star in case he got injured.

Selling Shaqiri would allow Inter to proceed with negotiations with Wolfsburg for Perisic and Die Wolfe could lower their price for the Croatian international from €20 million to €18 million.

Shaqiri has scored three goals and created two more in 20 matches for Inter since joining the club earlier this year while Perisic has scored 20 goals and assisted 16 others in 84 games for Wolfsburg since 2013.
