Inter are set to win the race to sign Chievo’s Ervin Zukanovic with a deal set to be completed in the coming days after the player rejected the chance to join Sampdoria.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has been in talks regarding a move to the Nerazzurri for some time before Sampdoria tried to jump the gun and put in their own offer, however Zukanovic rebuffed the chance to joint the Blucerchiati, leaving the door open for Roberto Mancini’s side.
According to Sky Sport Italia, a fee of €2 million has been agreed between the two clubs and Ezequiel Schelotto will make his loan move to Chievo a permanent switch as part of the deal.
The 28-year-old Zukanovic only recently became a permanent Chievo player after spending the 2014-15 season on loan from Gent and he was a key performer as the Gialloblu finished 14th with the fourth best defensive record in Serie A.
