Juventus general director Beppe Marotta has confirmed Arturo Vidal will leave the club to join German champions Bayern Munich.
In a press conference alongside coach Massimiliano Allegri, Marotta revealed a deal to sell Vidal to Bayern is almost complete.
“The deal for Vidal to go to Bayern will be finalised soon.” Marotta told reporters at the press conference.
“It is not completed officially yet but it is almost done.
“Vidal will sign a contract until 2019 with Bayern.
“We did not plan to sell Vidal, it is a similar situation to that of Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez.
“We let them leave because they wanted to go.
“Of course replacing icons like Pirlo and Tevez is not easy, I think they are irreplaceable players.
“But those who have arrived have huge motivation and I am sure they will do well for the club
“We have begun talks with Bayern to sign to Mario Gotze, but it is very early days.
“He is a player we like and a player who we are monitoring with interest.”
